(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congressman Rob Wittman released the following statement regarding Continental AG's decision to bring 318 positions to its plant in Newport News:
"Continental AG's announcement that it intends to relocate 318 jobs to its plant in Newport News is wonderful news for the First District. Bringing this growth to Newport News has been a priority for my office and it has been a pleasure to work with both Continental AG and state and local leaders to bring about this week's announcement. I commend all parties involved for collaborating to create opportunity and jobs in a time of economic uncertainty, and look forward to working with Continental AG to continue developing its relationship with Newport News." Congressman Rob Wittman represents the First District of Virginia. He was re-elected to his first full term in November of 2008. |
